New Bridal Lounge Blogger on the Block!

Hello there, my name is Rachael Scott and I would like to welcome you to my very first Bridal Lounge Blog!

For those of you that have visited The Bridal Lounge, you will most likely be aware that I am the owner of the boutique and help every bride progress through all the stages of buying their dress for their big day!

I love weddings; but especially wedding dresses! I love seeing the reaction on brides faces when they find “the one”!

Wedding Dresses from The Bridal Lounge HighgateWe will be established for fours years in July. Through those years we have tried to make the experience you have with us as special as possible. We have worked with different designers and have sold hundreds of dresses, veils, tiaras and shoes.

Over the coming months, you will find lots of fantastic features within my blogs. You will be seeing:

Real bride experiences and their top wedding planning tips. There’s no one better to give you advice than brides that have just been through their wedding planning experience!

Advice from different industry experts. I’m sure you have all seen “Say Yes To The Dress”? I found this ‘Randy knows best’ chart and it will definitely help those who have not yet started the dress shopping experience.

10 things to know before buying a wedding dress

Current industry trends. There are current trends in bridal, but also there are so many styles that we call ‘classics’; These will never date and will always be available. Not every bride is interested in what is current so for that reason, we stock both. We cater to those wanting the traditional, classic styles but also to customers wanting to be different or on trend! The image below if definitely different and very trendy in 2017.

Local supplier interviews, plus much, much more! I am lucky enough to work with some amazing wedding experts. From photographers such as Symply Photography, Stationery companies like Pumpkin Wedding Designs and even Professional Wedding hosts and DJ’s such as Partyline Entertainments. I have met all of these fantastic people at Wedding Fayres and local functions. We all work together for one main reason; to make your wedding the best one ever!!

So… why am I doing this I hear you ask?

Life is so busy these days. Lots of brides are working full-time and some are Mum’s too. Planning a wedding takes time. They say brides spend a full 36 days actually planning their wedding day. That’s a whole month with no breaks!!

My blog will pull together lots of advice and information and put it all in one place to save you time searching for it. Handy tips from my brides, our boutique news and events, offers, lovely stories and also new stock alerts!

Where do I get my stories and advice from?

Everyday, people share their stories with me. Whether it’s a new bride telling me about her romantic engagement, or a mother when she see’s her baby girl in a wedding dress for the first time. I hear all the good things and some of the bad.

A lot of brides get in touch with me after their special day to share their best bits and their stunning photographs. Some of their stories have made me laugh and some have reduced me to tears!

I get to meet lots of fabulous local suppliers that could be perfect for your wedding day as well as seeing, first hand, the up and coming trends for the year ahead.

I’ve also got years of experience helping brides choose their perfect dress. This knowledge needs sharing, I don’t want to keep it to myself anymore!
